Man, Everything just keeps changing.
Well, I worked in New Martinsville for almost a month. We got the bar pretty close to completion. After the last time we went home, we got a week off. Well, needless to say, that one week turned into three. I haven't been working for the last three weeks, and the lack of funds is really hurting my family.
I have worked a total of two days for HAVE IT since I left New Martinsville. I really enjoy the work I do with HAVE IT, and want to continue working with Patrick, but I am going to have to have another job alongside it. My neighbor Wayne is going to get me a job working with him, doing drywall. I will be working in White Sulphur, so if I needed to do tech work while I was over there, I could.
So, once again I will be working two jobs. I just don't know how to make it on one. I had me a good back up job, working for Superior Building Maintenance during the nights cleaning the floors for Kroger. But, my co-worker just doesn't know how to keep a job, so, while I was out of town and he was supposed to be doing it by himself, he wasn't. So, by the time I got back in town I had lost my job with them.
I had talked to our boss, Carlos, on the phone while I was in New Martinsville. He said that I would still have the Rainelle store to myself when I got back in town. I have called him and called him and still haven't got an answer. I talked to the people at Kroger, and they said that Carlos lost the contract with Kroger over Dustin's stupid shit, so Carlos doesn't even have anything to do with it anymore.
So, once again I was fucked over by someone that was suppose to be one of my closest friends. Some people will just never grow up.
So, right now I am sitting here, completely broke, looking everywhere for some work I could do to come up with a little bit of cash. I always figure something out. I just wish my jobs would stay steady so I wouldn't have to do all of this looking and collecting all day.
Hopefully a contract will come through with HAVE IT and I can live comfortably someday.

Independence Day
Today wasn't eventful at all. I am glad we at least got to see the fireworks last night, to celebrate our freedom at least in a minimal way. I am really glad that Landon got to see a big fireworks show, even though he is still probably too young to ever remember it. I could tell he really liked it.
We didn't do anything but hang out together at the house all day, just the three of us. Travis and Skyler, and Brax came to visit us for a little bit. Me and Travis hooked up the xbox that he was trying to sell to me, he got from Jonathan Wilson. Well, needless to say the xbox doesn't work. It gave us an error code and first flashed one red bar, then three.
Elizabeth cooked us a nice chicken dinner tonight with her delicious fried potatoes and some baked beans. It was really good. She is an excellent cook.
I got a lot done on my laptop today. I cleaned my Windows Vista OS and removed files I don't use anymore, and reinstalled my Ubuntu linux distribution to the newest version and updated my drivers and plugins to 64-bit. It is finally running nice. It had been giving me some messed up errors that I didn't know how to fix before. But, I knew I could fix it. It just takes some time and reading sometimes.
I am not really sure when I go back to work in New Martinsville. It isn't that I want to be away from home, but all of this time at home isn't earning me anymore money. And money is tight right now. I really cannot wait to get a vehicle. It is absolute torture for all of us always being trapped in the house. I wonder if I will ever make enough money to be that comfortable. I sure hope so.
I want my baby boy to be proud of me when he grows up. I will try my very best to make that happen.

Funny how quickly things will change.
In the blink of an eye sometimes. Sometimes faster than that. Well, my last post was posted around the time we moved into our new place. Since then I have changed drastically again.
Instead of doing the floors, I have been working with Patrick Hamilton with HAVE IT INC. I have been working out of town in New Martinsville, helping remodel the night club Patrick purchased. It has been hard work, but has been very rewarding. This past week we had the entire week off, and I spent pretty much all of our money trying to make sure everyone was taken care of at home. Also, I had to buy an expensive outfit to wear to a service call for one of our clients at The Greenbrier.
It felt really nice to be dressed in nice clothes and a tie. I really felt a lot of pride in my job, and felt like it was the right place for me. I really hope that business like that picks up, so that I will have great job security around here, after the night club opens and everyone is working out of town. I would really like to be making that good kind of money all of the time. And it is doing something that I truly know how to do.
Oh yeah, I love my new printer that Jack gave me. We installed him a new HP LaserJet, so I asked him what he was going to do with is old printer, and he said take it with me. It is by far the best printer I have ever owned, I can't believe he just gave it to me like that. I am definitely very lucky for that.
